Sinus lift and local bone Augmentation
A sinus lift is a surgery that adds bone to your upper jaw in your molars and premolars area. The bone is added between your jaw and the maxillary sinuses.
This procedure has become common in the last 15 years as more and more people choose to have dental implants to replace their missing teeth.
Why would I need a sinus lift?
If you are having dental implants to be placed and there is not adequate bone surrounding the sinus you may require a sinus lift.
What is the reason for bone loss?
Bone loss can be caused by many factors the main being tooth loss and gum disease. If teeth have been missing for a long time, there often is not enough bone left to place implants, gum disease (periodontal disease) is a multi-factorial disease caused by bacterial growth and production of factors that gradually destroy the tissue surrounding and supporting the teeth, this can result in bone loss. Gum disease can be treated, and gum health maintained by seeing our hygienist regularly.

Dr. Ayse is an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon with 12 years of clinical experience. She graduated from Yeditepe University, Turkey, and received her Ph.D. in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the same University.
Dr. Ayse is skilled in single, multiple, and full mouth implant rehabilitation, immediate implantation, and loading (Same-Day-Dental-Implants), All-on-4, and All-on-6 implant rehabilitation. She is adept at surgical extractions, removal of impacted teeth, treated sinus pathologies, sinus lift surgery, and bone grafting procedures for guided regeneration and augmentation. Other areas of her expertise include endodontic surgical procedures, surgeries for oral cysts and tumors, and management of orofacial trauma.
