Dr. Berk Koni commenced his remarkable journey in dentistry at Gazi University Faculty of Dentistry, Ankara Turkey graduating with his dental degree in 2009. Hungry for broader horizons, the subsequent year saw him at Cardiff University Faculty of Dentistry under the prestigious Erasmus Scholarship Programme. While at Cardiff, Dr. Koni focused on Maxillofacial Orthopedics, integrating global standards and sharpening his treatment techniques.
Returning with enhanced expertise, he dedicated the next phase of his career towards advanced orthodontics. He re-entered Gazi University and by 2015 had achieved a PhD from its Department of Orthodontics.
2015 was a pivotal year for Dr. Koni. He established his private practice, which transformed into a multidisciplinary beacon of dental excellence in Ankara. Parallelly, his innovative spirit led him to become a pioneer in in-house clear aligner manufacturing since 2018. In December 2020, he took a leap into academic entrepreneurship, co-founding private Doublecheck Orthodontic Aligner Academy & Treatment Planning/ Consultancy Service for orthodontists. This platform became a conduit for his teachings on In-House aligners, clinical digitalization, and lab setup, enlightening orthodontic communities in Turkey, Bulgaria, and Azerbaijan.
His consistent dedication to his field saw him achieve the esteemed Invisalign Diamond Provider status in 2022, a testament to his commitment to orthodontic brilliance. Demonstrating his drive for innovation, Dr. Koni holds two patents within the realm of orthodontics. These attest to his dedication to pushing boundaries and delivering state-of-the-art care to his patients.
Away from the orthodontic chair, Dr. Koni is deeply passionate about technology, coffee brewing, and gastronomy. His personal life is enriched by the company of his wife, a manager at a prominent tech company, and the playful adventures with their two young boys.
